Get to Know Your Team:
- Lovelace Regional Hospital includes 24/7 emergency services, intensive care, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, surgical and birthing services for Roswell and the surrounding community.
- Provide occupational therapy services as directed by a licensed occupational therapist. May work in collaboration with other health care professionals. May provide treatment to individuals or groups as necessary.
- Identify and prioritize patient problems and notify the Occupational Therapist of areas of concern with patient response.
- Responsible for completing basic occupational therapy assistant competencies in addition to departmental-specific competencies.
- Meet productivity expectations for level of care.
- Provide detailed and concise documentation related to patient care
- Take ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested.
- Communicate and listens effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge.
- Cooperate and interact with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to “service”.
Job Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Licensed or licensure-eligible COTA in the State of New Mexico.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- One (1) year of related experience.
