What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager position at Love Whole Foods Cafe and Market?
Our Assistant Managers collaborate alongside the Store Manager, in leading the vision of Love Whole Foods’ values and commitment to healthy living within our community. You should have the ability to see the big picture of running the business, and be able to coach and inspire the team to execute outstanding product quality, exceptional customer service, and build sales and control costs and productivity. Assistant Managers act as the manager on duty when the Store Manager is away, and provide continual support to them.
He or she should be able to multitask, with the following being the most essential areas of focus:
STAFF:
- Delegate tasks to team and provide follow-up. Hold the team accountable, with focus on exceptional customer service, productivity, cleanliness of the store, and standard operating procedures and tasks required for their position.
- Build relationships among team members, and train and develop all employees to the next level. Recognize positive contributions.
- Educate team on and enforce all appropriate personnel policies, labor laws, and security and safety procedures
CUSTOMERS:
- Make customers feel welcome and maintain the positive shopping environment and experience that Love Whole Foods Cafe & Market is known for.
- Effectively handle customer complaints/issues.
- Maintain a clean and inviting store, and ensure product quality standards are met in all departments.
- Provide friendly, professional, and accurate service.
