What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Solutions Sales Manager position at Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores?
Job Functions:
- Partner closely with Regional Account Managers and cross-functional team members to identify market dynamics, competitive factors, and growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with the sales team to demonstrate and deploy Love’s Fleet VIEW for assigned fleet customers, including leading live demonstrations, supporting onboarding and training, and driving ongoing utilization and adoption post-deployment. Share timely and accurate industry insights, trends, and customer challenges with internal stakeholders.
- Meet or exceed year-over-year sales goals for the assigned zone, as well as for an individual book of business, including new customer acquisition and account expansion. Work closely with Regional Account Managers to maximize performance through consistent coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
- Conduct weekly meetings and ride-alongs with sales representatives to support development, execution, and performance improvement.
- Train and coach Fleet Sales teams on promoting the full suite of Love’s services and supporting all Tire Care locations within the zone. Provide product, industry, and solution-alignment expertise to support customer discovery and sales efforts.
- Analyze and audit weekly and monthly performance reports. Maintain accurate CRM records, including pipeline management and account activity tracking, and provide reliable forecasting and status updates for assigned accounts and Fleet VIEW deployments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives.
Experience and Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3- 5 years of fleet maintenance management/travel experience (Class 8 and/or general automotive fleet maintenance strongly preferred).
- 3 years of proven sales/account management experience preferred (quota attainment, territory/book ownership, pipeline management).
- Experience demonstrating, deploying, onboarding, or training customers on software/technology solutions preferred (Fleet technology/SaaS a plus).
Skills:
- Hard Skills: Proficent knowledge of Microsoft Office, exceptional fuel industry knowledge
- Soft Skills: Work with other employees, team player, detail and deadline oriented, multitasking, organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to adapt and to grow from changing market conditions
Typical Physical Demands:
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 110 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
