Love & Blessings Academy in Shreveport, LA is looking for a lead teacher to join our strong team. We are located 4016 Greenwood Rd. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- provide a safe and loving environment for the children in care
- Feed children
- Change diapers as needed
- Soothe children by singing to and cuddling them
- Supervise children on the floor as they play with age-appropriate toys
- Put children down for nap time
- Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean
Qualifications for Teacher
. High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of the Early Childhood courses as designed by the state Child Care authority after employment
- Meet annual professional development requirements, per state regulations
- Ability to pass a background check
- Caring individual who enjoys teaching young children
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Extended periods of time sitting on the floor
- Ability to work a shift in between 7:30 am _4:30 (sometimes 5.30 pm)
- Reliable transportation to the Child Care center
- Great customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents
Must have more than 6 months experience in a Class III child care center or HeadStart.
