What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Surveyor position at Loureiro Contractors?
Loureiro Engineering Associates has an immediate opening for a Connecticut-Licensed Surveyor in Groton, CT. Our goal is to employ the right individual to be a part of our team, working with experienced professionals who will help provide the formal training and mentoring needed to grow professionally and strive toward the opportunities that Loureiro can offer.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct project layout and construction surveying activities using survey equipment such as conventional and robotic total stations, levels, GPS;
- Conduct survey computations and data collection including construction layout calculations, grade sheet computation, topographical/volume analysis and project datum conversion/transformation;
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
Requirements:
- Position requires 3 years of Earthwork, Underground Utilities and Road experience (CT Survey License required);
- 4 years of Construction Surveying;
- Knowledge of construction layout, survey calculations and data collection;
- Heavy civil construction experience;
- Must observe safety procedures and report any potentially unsafe conditions to management;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work as a one-person crew utilizing robotic and GPS equipment.
