Nursing Assistant Position Summary
The Nursing Assistant provides essential support to nursing staff by performing basic patient care duties, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients.
Essential Functions Additional Information
Effective communication and teamwork skills required.
Ability to prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced care setting.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
Experience: Minimum six months of experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred.
Certifications: CPR/BCLS certification required.

What does the typical therapist-to-patient ratio look like at your hospital?

So here at Knoxville Rehab Hospital, we pair our PTs and OTs up into teams and each team, our goal is to have them manage five to six patients. And we'll also have a speech therapist attached to that team and a case manager attached to that team. So we have consistent coverage with all of our disciplines and it really helps with our collaboration between the disciplines and we see really good results from a commission to discharge.
