Job Description:
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, being alert for needs and/or problems of the children as individuals and as a group

Assist assigned Teacher in any way possible, which may include, but is not necessarily limited to:
- Planning curriculum in detail for classes
- Implementing daily program for classes
- Preparing bulletin boards with children’s art or theme materials
- Preparing snacks and lunch
- Keeping classroom clean, neat and orderly
- Vacuum and mop classrooms, clean bathrooms
- Assistants are required to attend local in-service workshops (12 hours training, CPR, First Aid and Health & Safety)
- May assume temporary responsibilities of the Teacher in the absence of the Teacher
- Be familiar with all Center policies and procedures
- Report to Director any special needs or problems of individual children
- Report to Director any cases of suspected child abuse or neglect
- Attend regular staff planning and evaluation meetings
- Give medication to children as directed in Medication Policy
- Document medication given, diapering, feedings, and naps on daily form
- Be aware of children as they arrive and depart
- Assist with other duties as needed or as assigned by Teacher and/or Director
