Medical Scribe (480)

Loudoun Medical Group (LMG), one of the largest and most diverse physician-owned, multi-specialty group practices in Virginia, is seeking an experienced Medical Scribe to support a busy Infectious Disease Practice with in Leesburg, Virginia. This is a full-time position.

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

• Accurately transcribe and document physician-patient interactions in electronic health records (EHR) during clinical visits.
• Assist physicians by capturing detailed information on patient history, symptoms, diagnostic findings, treatments, and follow-up plans related to infectious diseases.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
• Facilitate efficient clinical flow by managing documentation tasks promptly.
• Update and maintain patient records with appropriate coding and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive and accurate medical documentation.
• Stay informed on infectious disease terminology, procedures, and current guidelines to enhance documentation accuracy.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare-related certifications preferred.
• Prior experience as a medical scribe, or in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, especially related to infectious diseases.
• Excellent typing skills and proficiency with EHR systems like eClinicalWorks.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and a professional demeanor.
