Medical Receptionist and Assistant (600)

Loudoun Medical Group (LMG), one of the largest and most diverse physician-owned, multi-specialty group practices in Northern Virginia, has exciting employment opportunities for an experienced medical receptionist/assistant to support a busy specialty practice in Dulles, VA.

General Medical Receptionist responsibilities include:

• Greeting patients as they arrive at the office
• Confirming insurance eligibility
• Answering the phones and sending messages through the office electronic medical record
• Collecting co-pays and other patient payments
• Scheduling appointments
• Checking benefits for office procedures and surgeries
• Keeping the reception area clean and organized
• Contacting insurance companies regarding issues with medical claims
• Sending out patient invoices and other patient correspondence

General Medical Assistant responsibilities include:

• Assisting Physician with clinical procedures
• Obtaining patient vital signs
• Assisting physician with general patient care and medical coding
• Cleaning and stocking exam rooms
• Assisting at the front desk
• Scheduling appointments; placing reminder calls

Job Requirements:

• High School Degree
• 1-2 years of medical assistant experience
• Must possess exceptional customer service skills
• Must have strong clinical skills
• Must be able to work independently and on a team
• Must have problem solving skills
• EMR experience preferred (Pulse and/or ECW)
• Experience with inventory/stocking medical supplies
• Professional demeanor
• Bi-lingual not required but a plus
