Loudoun Medical Group (LMG), one of the largest and most diverse physician-owned, multi-specialty group practices in Virginia, has an exciting employment opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist to support a busy weight loss center in Fairfax, Virginia.
General Medical Receptionist responsibilities include:
- Greeting patients as they arrive at the office
- Confirming insurance eligibility
- Answering the phones and sending messages through the office electronic medical record
- Collecting co-pays and other patient payments
- Scheduling appointments
- Checking benefits for office procedures and surgeries
- Keeping the reception area clean and organized
- Contacting insurance companies regarding issues with medical claims
- Sending out patient invoices and other patient correspondence
Job Requirements:
- Must possess exceptional customer service skills
- Must be able to work independently and on a team
- Must have problem-solving skills
- EMR experience preferred (Pulse and/or ECW)
- Professional demeanor
- Bi-lingual preferred, but not required
