- How design intent translates into field execution across complex construction projects.
- Real-world construction coordination, communication, and problem-solving techniques.
- QA/QC processes, inspection workflows, and documentation standards.
- Construction documentation best practices and stakeholder communication.
- Industry tools including Bluebeam, Procore, and BIM platforms.
- Rotation between field and office roles, with mentorship from experienced construction professionals.
- Support daily construction activities alongside field supervision, participating in site walks, coordination meetings, and safety briefings.
- Assist with tracking construction progress and documenting field conditions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, and document control, helping to maintain accurate project logs and reports.
- Support coordination between trades and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project milestones and deliverables.
- Review construction drawings (architectural, structural, MEP), identifying discrepancies between drawings and specifications.
- Assist in tracking and documenting design issues and coordination conflicts, supporting resolution through the appropriate channels.
- Perform field verification of installed work against IFC drawings, assisting with inspections, punch walks, and QA/QC documentation.
- Capture and document field conditions using photos and redlines to support accurate as-built records.
- Participate in a structured capstone project, culminating in a final presentation to LotusWorks leadership.
- Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
- Strong interest in construction, project delivery, and field operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and a genuine willingness to learn.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings is preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Bluebeam is a plus.
- Previous internship or construction site experience is advantageous but not required.
- Exposure to BIM tools such as Navisworks or Revit and an understanding of basic construction methods and sequencing are advantageous but not required.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable
