As a Certified Welding Inspector working with the LotusWorks team, you will join our client site in the semiconductor manufacturing sector. This job is based in a cutting-edge facility in Queen Creek, Arizona.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Conduct visual inspections of welds and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Review and interpret welding procedure specifications (WPS) and procedure qualification records (PQR).
- Verify the qualification of welders and welding operators.
- Monitor welding processes and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare and maintain accurate inspection records and reports.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve welding-related issues.
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) as required.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding processes and product quality.
- Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in welding inspection, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience with non-destructive testing methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
- Must have a certification as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) by the American Welding Society (AWS) or equivalent.
- Additional certifications in NDT methods. (preferred)
