Location: Lotus Village, 179 Combs St, Sparta NC
We are seeking a dependable and safety focused Medical Trasnportation Driver to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for transporting patients, staff, and/or medical supplies safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations.
Key Responsibilies:
- Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, faciliites and designated locations.
- Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle, including those with mobility challenges
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed including proper use of seat belts, wheelchairs, and securement devices
- Maintain cleanliness and rountine inspection of the vehicle
- Communicate effectively with dispatch healthcare staff and patients
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage and any incidents
- Adhere to all company policies and local/state transportation regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Previous driving experience (medical transport or patient care preferred)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude
Perferred Skills:
- Experience working in healthcare or long-term care settings
- Familiarity with wheelchair vans or medical transport equipment
- Knowlege of local routes and navigation systems
