Role Overview
Our Substitute Teachers are integral to creating a supportive and engaging atmosphere for young learners. They work collaboratively with our teaching staff to deliver high-quality educational programs and build strong relationships with families.
This position reports to the Education Coordinator and Program Director, with a focus on flexibility to meet the needs of our staff and community.

Lotus Learning Center is a pioneering early childhood program serving East Nashville, North Nashville, and Madison.
What You'll Do
- Step in to support the care and education of children in our program, ensuring continuity during Lead and Assistant Teachers' breaks or absences
- Contribute to the implementation of our play-based, child-centered curriculum, promoting hands-on learning and exploration
- Nurture meaningful connections with children, sparking joy in learning and fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth
- Develop and maintain positive, nurturing relationships with children, teaching social-emotional strategies and promoting emotional intelligence
- Ensure the indoor and outdoor learning environments are safe, clean, and well-maintained, supporting a positive and healthy atmosphere
Requirements
- Must clear full background check
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Professional child care experience (preferred)
- High School Diploma (required)
