About This Role:
Under supervision, Behavioral Specialist provide services to adults with Developmental Disabilities, Mental Illness, and/or Chemical Dependency in the individuals home, ensuring that programs are implemented properly to increase the persons served independence. The incumbent will carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, applicable to federal, state, local standards, guidelines, and regulations as directed by the reporting supervisor.
WORK HOURS:
Positions for AM shift 7:00 AM to 03:00 PM
MALES ONLY
Wage starts at $27.
You Provide:
Companionship and support
- Providing emotional support, engaging in social activities and conversations to clientele
Household and daily tasks
· Meal prep, tidy living spaces
Personal care and hygiene
- Helping with bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, physical movement and repositioning
Behavioral Essential duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with autism and related developmental disabilities. Ability to handle high magnitude behavior; de-escalate intensive physical aggression and property destruction.
- Conduct data collection and analysis to track progress and outcomes.
- Assist with crisis management and behavior support as needed.
Requirements
- CPR and First Aid Certified - We provide free training!
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Compassion for others and supporting your community.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to work on weekends.
- Basic Computer skills
- You must be physically able to stand, squat, bend, or walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Current Driver's License, auto insurance, and a clean record
- Pass a MN DHS Background Study.
Pay: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour
