Job Description
- Provide superior guest service by assisting guests during their stay at the hotel. Provide a positive first and last impression to guests as they arrive and leave the hotel. Create this impression through service, information, and general assistance to all guests in a timely and friendly manner.
- Responsibilities to include some and/or all the following:
- Greet all guests upon arrival
- Assist guests with luggage to their rooms promptly when checking in and upon checking out
- Promote all hotel functions and facilities
- Inform incoming guests on the following while assisting them to their rooms: storage area, hotel outlets (restaurant, bar, gift shop, concierge), location of vending/ice machines, health club information and stair exits
- Once in room provide the guest with the following information: basic telephone instructions, pay movie instructions, heating and air conditioning, laundry and dry cleaning procedures, radio, hairdryer, closets, fax machines, data port, door lock and key use, room directory, and special features in suites
- Assist guests by taking luggage to curb to meet their transportation
- Offer to get ice for guest before departing room
- Inform guest of your name and how late you are working
- Thank the guest and offer them a pleasant stay
- Upon the guests departure, offer to call the valet service to retrieve their car
- Ask guest if they enjoyed their stay and if they will be returning
- Hand off appropriately to the doorman. Ensure doorman knows who the luggage belongs to and that he/she knows the guests name
- Thank guest for staying at the hotel
- Possess knowledge of the community and area in which the hotel is located to assist guests with information on special events (sporting, theatre, entertainment, restaurants)
- Keep bell closet clean and neat
- Polish and clean bell carts daily
- Deliver faxes, messages, packages, flowers, wine and other items to the guests in their rooms
- Check and secure guests luggage until departure
- Direct guests to various meeting rooms
- Notify guests by telephone of delivery of automobiles, packages or arrival visitors
- Provide other assistance to guests as necessary to ensure highest quality of service
- Report any damages, hazards, repairs and strangers in assigned areas
- Return any items found in guestrooms, hallways or back of the house to the lost and found
- Responsible for all keys, radios, etc. signed out for the shift
- Quickly respond to guest requests in a timely and friendly manner
- Arrive on time for scheduled shift
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Proven doorman experience or a similar guest-facing role, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end establishment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Impeccable grooming and presentation
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Strong physical fitness to handle and perform duties effectively
- Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
