Job Summary
The Information and Research Technology Systems Manager is responsible for the reliable operation, integration, support, and evolution of all technical infrastructure across LPRC’s labs, member-solution environments, business systems, and field installations. This role combines IT systems management, hands-on integration work, lab infrastructure operations, and external engagement with solution-provider members and retail participants. You will manage technology across our research spaces, coordinate with LPRC staff, interns, and external partners, and ensure that our environments remain cutting-edge, secure, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and secure LPRC's IT and network infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, user systems, and data storage, ensuring protection against device compromise, external threats, and data spillage.
· Oversee and maintain all technology systems across LPRC's labs, offices, and field sites-supporting installation, integration, and operation of equipment used in research and solution-provider projects.
· Provide reliable IT support for the LPRC team by managing devices, software, and datasets, ensuring smooth system access, compute availability, and information security.
· Collaborate with researchers, interns, and solution-provider members to integrate and test new technologies, resolve technical issues, and document configurations and improvements.
· Continuously evaluate and improve system performance, documentation, and operational workflows to support innovation and reliability across all labs and business systems.
· Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Proficiency in IT systems, networking, and hardware/software infrastructure.
· Experience integrating and managing cameras, sensors, IoT devices, servers, and virtual machines.
· Working knowledge of cabling, wiring installations, and network equipment setup.
· Strong problem-solving, organization, and documentation skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
· Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to mentor interns or technical staff.
Education & Experience
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, network administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· 3-5 years of experience in IT support, systems integration, or network and infrastructure management; experience in lab or research environments preferred.
· Proven ability to manage networked security systems (e.g., cameras, sensors, servers, switches).
· Experience supporting research or retail-technology environments.
· Supervisory or mentoring experience with interns or technical staff a plus.
· Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Security , Server , ) are helpful but not required.
Salary & Benefits
· Salary Range: Salary will be commensurate with experience, education, and certification.
· Benefits include health insurance contributions, vacation after 90 days, SEP-IRA contribution, annual bonus eligibility after one year of service.
