UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking a professional-level IAM IT Manager to join Infrastructure and Communication Technology (ICT) a unit within UFIT.
Employment with UFIT provides an excellent opportunity to work with other employees dedicated and focused on understanding and interpreting the technological needs of the University of Florida’s innovative and inspirational community.
The Identity & Access Management Systems (IAM) IT Manager provides technical leadership for the IAM team. This position is responsible for architecting, operating, and maintaining the UF IAM infrastructure with a solid understating of IAM concepts, identify governance, directory services, authentication and authorization systems in higher education environment.
Some Key Responsibilities And Characteristics Of This Position Are
Led by Vice President and CIO Elias Eldayrie, the eight departments comprising UFIT are: Academic Technology; Applications, Development, and Integrations; Business Center; Customer Experience and Resource Planning; Data Platform and Analytics; Information Security Office; Infrastructure and Communication Technology; and Research Computing. UF Information Technology (UFIT) enables teaching, learning, research, and service on campus and across the region with state-of-the-art enterprise IT systems, including SEC and SUS universities, and the opportunity to teach using HiPerGator. - Advanced technical knowledge of Linux and/or Windows operation systems
- Advanced technical knowledge of container technology using Docker images along with orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
- Technical knowledge of Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) and OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- Understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
- Advanced ability to automate tasks using scripting languages such as Python and/or PowerShell using Git
- Technical experience with infrastructure orchestration tools such as Terraform using Git for version/source control
- Technical experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Technical experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, and/or Grafana stack
- Familiarity with Relational Database Management Systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL and/or Oracle including building SQL queries
- Familiarity with API management tools,
- Familiarity with messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ
- Familiarity with managing Active Directory, Shibboleth, Grouper, and Duo MFA infrastructure
- Familiarity with Code development methodologies, testing and debugging.
