Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the direction of the Environmental Services Director and Supervisor, as an EVS Technician you will maintain assigned patient and non–patient areas in a clean and sanitary condition. • You will perform specialized cleaning tasks which involve operating heavy duty equipment and using special cleaning equipment such as low and high-speed buffers, carpet extractors, vacuums, floor scrubbers, etc.
• You will use a variety of cleaning devices and solutions in performance of job responsibilities
• You will perform assigned project work
• You will support the distribution and pickup of biohazard barrels, distribution of clean linen, pickup of soiled linen and the pickup of garbage as needed

What qualifications you will need:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of experience in an acute health care setting, preferred.
