What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional-Adult Day Support (centered/non-centered) position at LOS Outreach Adult Day Support?
Duties include:
- Provide support and learning opportunities for individuals receiving support and Provide the proper behavioral intervention for individuals while in the community and center.
- Treat all individuals receiving support with dignity and respect always.
- Provide input regarding the provision of supports for individuals receiving support.
- Transport individuals to various community sites and venues and maintain a clean driving record. All Changes must be submitted to Human Rights immediately
- Maintain confidentiality and security of individual service records
- Ensure that the company vehicle assigned to Direct Support Professional is kept clean, organized and remains smoke free. Staff will be responsible for reporting any vehicle lights, inspections, damage, and keys lost to the administrative staff immediately.
- Direct Support Professional will be responsible for ensuring that all clients are supported with ADLs while out in the community. Staff will ensure that hands are properly washed and the client remains dry and free from food on clothing.
- Staff will ensure that clients have on proper attire for the weather before going out into the community as some events take place outside.
- Completes all assigned tasks related to program objectives, as defined by Supervisor.
- Attends all training sessions and staff meetings as may be required.
Qualifications
- Driver's License (Required)
- One year of experience working with persons with disabilities preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services (Social Work, Psychology or Counseling)Preferred
Location: Petersburg, VA
Available shift: Monday-Friday (7:30a - 3:30pm)

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
