Job Summary:
As a Tasting Room Server, you will be the face of our winery, engaging with guests, guiding them through tastings, serving food and wine, and providing excellent customer service. Your role will involve sharing the stories behind our wines, educating guests about the winemaking process, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. You will play a key role in ensuring each visitor leaves with a positive and lasting impression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead wine tastings, sharing information about our wines, their characteristics, and the winemaking process.
- Provide food service, including presenting and serving menu items, ensuring proper wine and food pairings, and maintaining high standards of hospitality.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring all guests feel valued and well taken care of.
- Promote and sell wines, food offerings, and merchandise.
- Answer questions about the winery, wines, food menu, and events, providing knowledgeable recommendations.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized tasting room, including food and beverage service areas.
- Assist with inventory management, restocking wine, food items, and merchandise as needed.
- Handle customer transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in special events and promotions, representing the winery at public functions when necessary.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service, food service, or retail experience, preferably in a winery, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
- Passion for wine, food, and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be of legal drinking age.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and special events.
