Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager / Head Chef. In this vital role, you will Lead the Kitchen team, oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, maintain food quality standards, safety, and service standards are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to uphold high standards of quality and consistency.
- Oversee food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe working environment in accordance with health department guidelines.
- Manage food inventory, place orders with approved vendors, monitor food cost and minize waste.
- Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently and assigning tasks appropriately.
- Hire, train, schedule and supervise kitchen staff.
- Maintain detailed records of inventory levels, food costs, and operational procedures to support effective decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with other departments such as service staff and management to deliver an outstanding overall guest experience.
- Qualifications
- Experience in kitchen management or as a head chef within a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to lead and motivate team in a fast-paced kitchen enviroment.
- Skilled in menu planning, inventory management, and cost control strategies.
- Billingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Pay: $50,276.99 - $70,183.05 per year
