Under general direction, develops, coordinates, implements, administers, monitors, and assesses school or community programs or projects, and provides training and technical assistance for assigned program areas; and may research and write applications for program funding.
The Well Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following
Knowledge
Experience: Three years of experience in the coordination and implementation of public or social service-related program and/or projects towards youth.
Equivalency Provision: A bachelor’s degree with major coursework in social sciences, education, child development, health science, public health public administration or other fields related to the job requirements of this classification from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation, may substitute for one year of required experience. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Additional Requirements: Some positions in this classification may require specialized experience. A valid California driver’s license, the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites is required.
Hybrid remote schedules may be available. To ensure the health and safety of its staff, LACOE may require employees to provide evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19.
Selection ProcessCandidates who meet the minimum requirements above will be invited to participate in an examination that may consist of a multiple-choice exam, performance exam, and technical structured interview.
