As the Coordinator for our Day Program serving adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, you will ensure seamless services centered on participants’ needs and desires. You will oversee daily program operations, supervise staff, manage schedules, support clients and families, and create an empowering environment guided by person-centered planning. Your leadership will shape daily experiences, inspire growth, and promote inclusion for those we serve. The position reports to the Executive Director and collaborates closely with the Director of Operations.

NATURE & SCOPE
Daily Duties:
- Develop, implement, and update program schedules; adjust as needed for last-minute changes.
- Open/close the facility as required.
- Maintain staff-to-client ratios per program design and state regulations.
- Ensure compliance with program, regional center, and licensing requirements.
- Manage staff breaks and ensure coverage.
- Report incidents, unusual behavior, or suspected abuse to appropriate parties
Annual Duties:
- Conduct annual staff performance reviews.
- Collaborate on budgets for program clubs.
Ongoing Duties:
- Lead staff meetings as needed.
- Schedule volunteers and oversee curriculum quality to ensure meaningful, goal-oriented activities.
- Meet prospective clients/families and give program tours.
- Stay current on ISPs/IPPs.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, monitoring, and evaluating staff.
- Model core values and professionalism for clients and employees.
- Build community partnerships to expand club activities, volunteering, and work opportunities.
- Support funding initiatives.
- Supervise clients during community outings, maintain safety, boundaries, and use appropriate behavior-management techniques.
- Ensure HIPAA-compliant confidentiality.
- Fill in for absent staff and perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in a relevant field or HS diploma with comparable experience.
- Experience (paid or volunteer) with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Flexible schedule including evenings/weekends/holidays if needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Team-building experience and positive workplace culture.
- Knowledge of developmental disability issues and crisis intervention.
- Valid CA driver’s license, insurance, and acceptable driving record.
- Criminal background clearance, TB clearance, CPR/First Aid (or ability to obtain).
- DSP I & II certification and bilingual skills preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Active day-program setting requiring standing, sitting, bending, stooping, or crawling.
- Work around kitchen equipment, including sharp knives and hot/cold surfaces.
- Possible contact with bodily fluids/bloodborne pathogens.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Drive company vehicles in busy or inclement conditions.
