Who We’re Seeking
We are looking for a licensed Occupational Therapist who is passionate about helping residents regain independence in daily living. The ideal candidate is patient, empathetic, and skilled in tailoring therapy plans to meet each resident’s unique needs and goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to create individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic activities to improve mobility, self-care, and functional skills.
- Train residents in the use of adaptive equipment to promote independence.
- Collaborate with nursing, physical therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Document evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge planning in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies to support ongoing independence and quality of life.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or geriatric care preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
