Responsibilities
- Efficiently clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold health and safety standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support chefs and kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, trash disposal, and organizing storage spaces regularly.
- Support catering and banquet setups by preparing serving stations and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Buss tables and clear dining areas promptly during service to ensure a welcoming environment for guests.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene compliance at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Knowledge of basic food handling safety standards and cleaning procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items or bending.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations.
- Experience with bussing tables, food preparation, or catering is a plus but not mandatory.
