About the Role
This position is open for external candidates only to apply. This position will be filled at either the Project Controls 3 or Project Controls 4, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.
Pay range and compensation package
- Project Controls 3: $94,500.00 - $154,600.00
- Project Controls 4: $114,700.00 - $191,200.00
Responsibilities
- Performs cost estimating, analysis, control, and trend identification for management.
- Develops, maintains, and monitors project schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Provides technical direction and may coordinate cost engineering and planning/scheduling personnel.
- Independently develops creative solutions to complex problems using in-depth analysis and expert knowledge.
- Supports project administration and exercises significant latitude in establishing objectives, methods, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Project Controls 3: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level, post graduate course work may be desirable.
- Project Controls 4: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level, post graduate course work may be expected.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize, prioritize, and follow through to completion on multiple tasks under strict deadlines and changing priorities.
- Demonstrated successful experience working on multiple projects with frequent interruptions, varying priorities and deadlines while maintaining excellent quality in daily work.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with all levels of management and staff.
- Successful track record in following technical direction and goals, implementing effective business practices and systems, analyzing budgets and finances, and interacting with customers and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge and intermediate experience with the implementation and maintenance of EVMS principles and techniques that complies with EIA-748 in U.S. Government facilities, programs, and/or projects.
- Experience in working in an EVMS environment.
- Experience in working on large-scale programs or projects.
- Experience working with the Department of Energy (DOE) at headquarters or field office level, and/or with state and federal regulators.
