DEPARTMENT/DIVISION: Community Development
SUPERVISOR: Community Development Director or Designee
Position Summary:
Under general supervision of the Community Development Director or designee, manages planning application cases, drafts, interprets and applies county community planning codes, ordinances, and policies to provide services to the public, the department, other departments and county administration. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Two years of professional planning or closely related experience.
- Must possess or have ability to obtain within first sixty days of employment and must maintain a valid New Mexico Class D driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications for Associate Planner:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Planning or related field.
