Lorin Industries is a leading West Michigan Manufacturing Company who has an opportunity for a positive professional who believes in providing the highest quality of service to join our Finance Team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated ability to lead financial processes including accounts payable and accounts receivable duties with efficiency and expediency and with minimum supervision.
- Lead daily receivable activities including posting daily invoices, cash collections, and ad hoc tasks.
- Establish and monitor customer accounts, utilizing third party reporting tools for credit, order holds, and payment performance.
- Lead daily payable activities including setting up vendors, matching up receivers with invoices, verifying against purchase orders, and making timely batch payments.
- Manage and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts including fixed assets, commissions, payroll withholding, taxes, etc.
- Compile and review financial information to prepare required journal entries including revenue recognition, accruals, and prepaid items.
- Generate monthly price pages and assist sales with costing calculations and analysis.
- Update monthly business metrics using graphs and power point for team meetings and discussion.
- Support annual external year-end review including preparing work papers in accordance with GAAP and corporate policies.
- Reviews VM report for errors or discrepancies.
- Maintains capital expenditure log and fixed asset records.
- Generate 1099’s annually.
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate within our software.
- Assist Finance Team in meeting corporate goals and timelines.
- Collaborate with CFO and controller to enhance financial processes.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- 5-7 years related work experience is required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Proven organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate, support and work with all levels within the organization and our customers.
