Duties
- Assist lead painters with surface preparation including sanding, scraping, plastering, and caulking to ensure surfaces are ready for painting or finishing
- Apply paint, stain, primer, and other coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, and airless paint sprayers across residential and commercial projects
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate application of paint or finishes
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently during various construction tasks
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials on-site while adhering to safety protocols
Experience
- Prior experience in construction painting or general handyman work is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills is advantageous
- Knowledge of color theory and different types of paints or coatings enhances quality workmanship
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, welding, or concrete finishing is a plus
- Construction site experience including renovation projects or industrial painting environments will support success in this role
