Job Summary
Is responsible for performing clerical duties related to the programs and ministries of the church, and for greeting and assisting those who make contact with church.
Responsibilities
- Serves as receptionist, receiving visitors, making appointments, answering and directing incoming calls.
- Sorts and routes incoming mail
- Compiles, edits, prints, and mails regular weekly newsletter, Sunday bulletin and mid-week prayer calendar.
- Keeps abreast of current bulk mailing requirements.
- Maintains master church membership, educational and prospect files
- Provides clerical assistance to pastor and staff; typing, filing, transcribing, church correspondence for new members, church-wide promotion letters, requests for church letters, and other correspondence as requested
- Orders literature, coordinating the requests of staff and organizational leaders.
- Types miscellaneous reports, minutes, notice of meetings, etc. as required.
- Assists church clerk in compiling annual Associational letter.
- Maintains master copy of church calendar. Coordinates the use of buildings, equipment and vehicles in accordance with the church calender.
- Attends and records minutes for weekly staff meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
