Lorain County Children Services is accepting applications for an Administrative Operations Manager to support the Lorain County Children and Families First Council. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient administrative operations, strong internal coordination, and effective support of council programs and leadership.
Salary Range
$51,646.40 to $61,089.60 annually

Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, the Administrative Operations Manager provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to ensure the effective day to day functioning of the agency. This role serves as the central coordination point for office operations, administrative systems, records management, internal workflows, and support services.
The Administrative Operations Manager performs advanced administrative and operational duties, supports agency leadership and staff, manages office operations and resources, maintains records and databases, coordinates logistics and vendor services, and supports fiscal and program operations. This position provides administrative supervision to the Fiscal Officer related to workflow coordination, documentation, scheduling, communication, and performance expectations. Fiscal authority, approvals, and financial decision making remain with the Executive Director or designated authority.
The position represents the council professionally at meetings and community events and requires discretion, strong organizational skills, sound judgment, flexibility, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, leadership, partners, and community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily office operations and administrative workflows
- Provide confidential administrative support to the Executive Director and leadership
- Maintain agency records, databases, and documentation in compliance with public records and confidentiality requirements
- Coordinate office logistics, supplies, equipment, and vendor services
- Take meeting minutes and prepare meeting materials
- Manage and update the CFFC website and support internal and external communications
- Provide administrative supervision to the Fiscal Officer related to workflow and performance expectations
- Support fiscal and program operations through coordination and documentation
- Represent the council at meetings, outreach activities, and public events as assigned
- Maintain Notary Public status in the State of Ohio
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in business administration, public administration, office management, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative or office operations experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting executive leadership and handling confidential information
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain Notary Public status in Ohio
Hours of Work
- Agency office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Evening, weekend, holiday, or on call work may be required based on operational needs
- A flexible work schedule is provided to accommodate work outside of normal business hours
Additional Requirements & Physical Demands
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and eligibility for county vehicle insurance
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required
- May encounter challenging environments and individuals during fieldwork
- Moderate noise levels and exposure to typical office chemicals
- Ability to:
- Sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs
- Lift/move up to 25 lbs regularly; up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Perform occasional bending, kneeling, or crawling
- Use a computer and phone; communicate effectively
- Maintain visual acuity for close and distance tasks
