About The Role
LoopRoots Foundation is seeking a Founding Product Director to lead the development of a first-of-its-kind wearable safety technology platform designed to enhance emergency response, personal safety, and access to support services for survivors, justice-involved individuals, and other vulnerable populations.
Working directly with the Founder & Executive Director, you will oversee the product vision, strategy, and development while coordinating volunteer teams across software engineering, UX/UI, cybersecurity, operations, research, and strategic partnerships. This role will help transform an innovative concept into a scalable technology platform with national impact.
Responsibilities
Our key initiatives include
- LoopConnect A ride credit sponsorship platform that provides free or subsidized rides to prison visitation facilities, allowing families to stay in contact during incarceration.
- LoopTalk A HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy program offering trauma-informed mental health care to justice-impacted individuals and caregivers, including children.
- LoopTroop Rideshare Partnership We collaborate with the LoopTroop Rideshare platform to ensure families have access to safe, reliable, and culturally competent transportation services.

About The Role

- Lead the overall product vision and development strategy.
- Develop and maintain the Product Requirements Document (PRD).
- Create and manage the product roadmap.
- Coordinate software engineering, UX/UI, and product teams.
- Prioritize features and development milestones.
- Facilitate weekly project planning meetings.
- Guide MVP development and pilot testing.
- Collaborate with technology partners and stakeholders.
- Support grant applications, funding opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
- Experience in Product Management, Product Leadership, or Technology Strategy.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or modern software development methodologies preferred.
