The LoopRoots Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to supporting justice-impacted families through transportation, therapy, and technology-driven programs. Our mission is to remove the physical, financial, and emotional barriers that prevent families from maintaining meaningful connections with incarcerated loved ones, accessing mental health care, or navigating reentry.Founded in 2025, the LoopRoots Foundation operates nationally, with an initial focus on underserved communities in Maryland, Arizona, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, California, and Virginia.

Our key initiatives include

• LoopConnect A ride credit sponsorship platform that provides free or subsidized rides to prison visitation facilities, allowing families to stay in contact during incarceration.
• LoopTalk A HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy program offering trauma-informed mental health care to justice-impacted individuals and caregivers, including children.
• LoopTroop Rideshare Partnership We collaborate with the LoopTroop Rideshare platform to ensure families have access to safe, reliable, and culturally competent transportation services.

Product Director – Wearable Safety Technology Platform

About The Role

LoopRoots Foundation is seeking a Founding Product Director to lead the development of a first-of-its-kind wearable safety technology platform designed to enhance emergency response, personal safety, and access to support services for survivors, justice-involved individuals, and other vulnerable populations.

Working directly with the Founder & Executive Director, you will oversee the product vision, strategy, and development while coordinating volunteer teams across software engineering, UX/UI, cybersecurity, operations, research, and strategic partnerships. This role will help transform an innovative concept into a scalable technology platform with national impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall product vision and development strategy.
• Develop and maintain the Product Requirements Document (PRD).
• Create and manage the product roadmap.
• Coordinate software engineering, UX/UI, and product teams.
• Prioritize features and development milestones.
• Facilitate weekly project planning meetings.
• Guide MVP development and pilot testing.
• Collaborate with technology partners and stakeholders.
• Support grant applications, funding opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience in Product Management, Product Leadership, or Technology Strategy.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or modern software development methodologies preferred.
