About LoopRoots Foundation

LoopRoots Foundation is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, justice involvement, housing instability, and other life challenges. As part of our Survivor Services Division, LoopRoots is launching a national Emergency Housing Program that provides immediate access to safe emergency accommodations for eligible survivors through strategic partnerships with hotels, shelters, nonprofit organizations, and community providers.

Position Overview

LoopRoots Foundation is seeking a passionate and experienced Volunteer Director of Emergency Housing Programs to help build and lead our emergency housing initiative for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and other violent crimes.

A major focus of this role will be helping develop and expand our Safe Stays Emergency Housing Network, an initiative designed to secure blocks of hotel rooms at deeply discounted nonprofit rates, ensuring emergency accommodations are immediately available when survivors need a safe place to stay.

  • Develop policies, procedures, and operational workflows for emergency housing placements.
  • Build partnerships with domestic violence shelters, sexual assault centers, human trafficking organizations, victim service agencies, and community partners.
  • Develop referral, eligibility, intake, and placement procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Transportation, Survivor Services, Community Partnerships, and Grants teams.
  • Research funding opportunities and assist with program sustainability planning.
  • Help create quality standards and performance measures for the Emergency Housing Program.
  • Participate in strategic planning and leadership meetings.
