What are the responsibilities and job description for the Territory Sales Manager position at LOOP?
Our client in the utility hardware industry, is seeking a driven Territory Sales Manager to expand customer relationships and grow sales across the Ohio market. This is a remote role with approximately 50% travel required across Ohio.
Responsibilities:
- Identify new prospects and set up virtual and in-person meetings to generate leads and close new business.
- Develop and implement a strategic sales action plan aligned with company objectives, including cross-selling across multiple product categories.
- Identify and negotiate new distributor stocking agreements.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing distributor partners.
- Drive sales growth by identifying customer needs and recommending comprehensive solutions from the full product portfolio.
- Follow up on outstanding quotations and manage the full sales cycle through to closing.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop customer-centric solutions and support new product introductions.
- Track and report weekly sales pipeline activities and customer data insights.
- Maintain a consistent call schedule to build rapport and grow wallet share with key accounts.
- Achieve defined sales targets and performance metrics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven experience as a Territory Sales Representative/Manager or a similar sales role.
- 3 years of experience in construction sales, manufacturing sales, or distributor sales is required.
- Familiarity with the South Carolina market landscape.
- A strong understanding of solution-based selling and cross-selling strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote role while collaborating cross-functionally.
- Technical aptitude and the ability to understand and present complex product solutions.
- Experience using CRM and ERP systems
