Title: Senior Accountant

About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing manufacturing organization in Summerville, SC. This individual will take ownership of the general ledger function and play a key role in supporting financial reporting, month-end close, audits, and process improvements. Working directly with the VP of Finance, this position offers the opportunity to help build scalable accounting processes and grow into a leadership role as the company continues to expand.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the full-cycle general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Partner with FP&A, Tax, and Operations to support financial reporting and accounting activities.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, account analyses, and supporting schedules.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for external audits, preparing requested documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Assist with tax, compliance, and other financial reporting requirements.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.
- Support accounting automation and enhancements to ERP, accounts payable, and expense management systems.
- Assist with special projects and financial analyses as the company continues to grow.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required.
- 5 years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience within a manufacturing environment required.
- Strong general ledger accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working with ERP and accounting systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of accounting processes.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Cost accounting experience preferred.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Comfortable working in a growing, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
