Carpenter-Job Overview
Qualifications:
- At least 4 years of experience
- Ability to work independently, or on a team, as needed
- Organizational and communication skills
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license
- Must have self-discipline with an "on-time", and "ready to work" attitude
- Ability to multi-task with strict deadlines
- Must have his/her own basic tools
Duties include:
- Ability to read and interpret Commercial Construction plans and blueprints
- Work with complex power tools, such as Ramset, drills, nail guns, saws, grinders, etc.
- Measuring and marking materials for exterior doors and windows, foundation, floors, walls and roofs
- Install cabinets and molding
- Install metal door frames / hang doors
- Install drop ceiling grid
- Ability to frame with metal studs and track
- Hang Insulation
- Hang drywall
- Replace panes of glass, ceiling tiles, and doors
- Layout flooring or drywall and ensure they are leveled and compatible
- Ability to lift 80 pounds
- Clean up area and equipment
