Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and a passion for craftsmanship. This role involves working on diverse projects, including residential and commercial builds, renovations, and restorations. The Carpenter will be responsible for executing precise measurements, cutting materials, and assembling structures while ensuring high-quality standards.
Duties
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Perform trim carpentry tasks including the installation of moldings, door frames, and cabinetry.
- Execute flooring installation with attention to detail and durability.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete projects.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including electricians and metal stud framers.
- Fabricate custom components as needed for specific projects.
- Conduct caulking to ensure proper sealing of joints and seams.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- 5 years experience
- Proven experience in the restoration industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with CNC machinery is a plus.
- Knowledge of electrical systems as they pertain to carpentry is beneficial.
- Experience with metal stud framing techniques is advantageous.
- A strong understanding of various carpentry methods, including trim carpentry and flooring installation.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- A background as a maintenance person can be beneficial for this role.
