Medical Assistant/Receptionist

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and personable Medical Assistant / Receptionist to join our clinic. This is a flex position and combines some front office/administrative responsibilities with clinical support duties to help ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care for individuals receiving treatment for depression and related mental health conditions.

We are a small clinic, with a rapidly growing patient base. We believe that everybody deserves access to high quality, appropriate care and as such we prioritize quality patient care and real connections with our patients. You will get to know patients and see them often, it is important to us that our newest addition to the team has strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities

Front Desk / Administrative Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to patient inquiries
• Collect copays/payments
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Assist with intake paperwork and consent forms
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Help manage clinic flow and appointment coordination

Clinical / Medical Assistant Responsibilities

• Obtain and document vital signs prior to and during treatment
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain clinic cleanliness and organization
• Assist providers with treatment sessions and patient monitoring
• Observe patients during post-administration monitoring periods and report concerns to providers
• Document patient observations and treatment-related information accurately
• Follow clinic safety protocols and emergency procedures
• Provide compassionate support and reassurance to patients during treatment visits

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical Assistant certification/experience is helpful but not required, we are more than happy to train the right person from square one!
• Previous medical office, psychiatry, behavioral health, or front desk experience is a plus!
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with mental health patients and sensitive situations
• Basic computer proficiency required
• EHR experience is a plus!

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
