Duties
- Greet guests promptly with a warm, genuine smile and positive attitude
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently.
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or restaurant policies
- Maintain a clean and organized host station, ensuring all guest areas are welcoming and presentable
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate seating and guest needs
- Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Assist in managing guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously to ensure a positive experience
Skills
- Previous experience as a Host or Hostess in food service or restaurant settings preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Knowledge of hospitality standards including guest relations, serving, and hotel experience is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional phone etiquette and guest interaction skills necessary for positive guest relations
