Job: Teller

Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday-Friday, daytime shifts plus rotating Saturday mornings.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Debits and credits to customer accounts via computer, examining endorsements, and receiving proper identification.
•    Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories, and refer customers to the proper department for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line.
•    Identify counterfeit currency.
•    Accept loan payments, verify payment amounts, accounts to apply to, & issue receipts as needed.
•    Admit customers to the safe deposit box vault and assist with entry to their box(es).
•    Maintain appropriate logs: cashier’s checks, cash, money orders, CTR’s and, etc.
•    Cross-sell bank products and services.
•    Complete all training required by management and comply with all bank policies and procedures.
•    Comply with BSA/AML training and report any suspicious activity to the BSA officer.
•    All other duties as might be assigned to you.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required unless enrolled in high school.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Desire to learn new technologies as well as influence, educate, and connect customers to technology.
• Excellent communication, strong attention to detail, and accuracy required.
• Must demonstrate the ability to make personal connections, engage customers, and remain courteous and professional in a team environment.
• High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality required.

Experience:

• Customer service: Minimum 1 year required (e.g., Retail, Sales, Financial Services)
• Cash handling: Previous experience preferred
• Banking: Previous experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of office setting experience required
