Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Processes deposits, withdraws, and loan payments using teller proof capture systems; corrects misread items and balances/closes transaction batches; issues receipts after verification of amounts, signatures and/or balances.
• Balances currency and coins in cash drawer; buys and sells cash to vault to control volume.
• Promotes bank's e-services, such as online banking, mobile deposits and e-statements; sells bank products such as money orders and safety deposit boxes; makes referrals to First Neighbor’s investment centers and tax and accounting offices.
• Processes and balances electric utility payments, license sticker sales, coin counter, ATM cash and transactions, and credit card cash advances.
• Assists with customer inquiries concerning transactions and account information; will involve the CSR Supervisor if second-level support is needed.
• Refers customers to CSRs for new account opening or changes to existing accounts.
• Answers the phone and transfers calls appropriately; processes phone transactions.

Education and/or Experience
Associates Degree preferred; one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful completion of First Neighbor on line training.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrates accuracy in the handling of cash, making financial transactions, and balancing of cash drawer. Highly proficient in practical math skills. Displays mental alertness, a professional appearance, punctuality, cooperativeness, and strong service minded attitude. Uses effective customer service and sales skills. Communicates clearly and concisely in ways that are easy to understand, verbally and in writing. Makes quick smooth transitions from one task to another. Adept in operating computers and proficient in software applications for Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, internet and related computer platforms. Able to operate First Neighbor business equipment including but not limited to calculators, copying equipment, telephone systems, checking imaging technology, document scanners, shredders, coin machines, and cash counters.
