We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team within a premier Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) / Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Austin, TX. This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about helping residents improve mobility, regain functional independence, and enhance overall quality of life through patient-centered physical therapy services.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence
- Monitor resident responses to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team
- Assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, and functional mobility activities
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, exercises, safety techniques, and mobility strategies
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and healthcare staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards
- Adhere to all facility procedures, safety standards, and state/federal regulations
- Attend required meetings and participate in team communication as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current, active Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
- Must be in good standing with all regulatory and licensing boards
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred, but not required
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
