Who You Are:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our Human Resources Department. The ideal candidate will assist with recruitment, employee onboarding, employee engagement and day to day operations. The candidate will have strong organizational and time-management skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The position requires a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Human Resource Director, the Human Resources Assistant is primarily responsible for the administration of the day-to-day operations in the area of recruiting and onboarding. The HR Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the following functional areas: recruiting, onboarding, general employment functions, and employee engagement. The HR Assistant will also participate in other HR functions as needed.

Essential Functions Assists in supporting the HR staff in the daily functions of the department to include answering routine payroll/benefits questions, inputting all new associates in the time clock, and responding to requests for employment verifications. Assists with ensuring timely new hire processing and report preparation. Will also be involved in ensuring that the community is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations. Facilitates the new hire orientation process and answers questions to support new hires during the new hire orientation. Handles departmental filing, preparation of new employee packets, recruitment, pulling necessary reports, auditing, and leave tracking. Conducts recruitment for all exempt, non-exempt and temporary staff; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checks as needed. Maintains all applications in compliance with applicable legal requirements. Completes all paperwork and maintains on-going personnel folders for all employees. Onboarding and general data entry into HRIS system. Conducts and acquires background checks, drug screens and all other compliance related to the onboarding process. Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems

Qualifications
- Minimum high school education with college degree preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal directions.
- Position requires knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
