Supervise daily shop operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and overall productivity to guarantee efficient and timely service delivery.
Oversee, mentor, and assess a team of diesel and heavy equipment technicians, promoting a culture of accountability, skill enhancement, and collaboration.
Ensure that all repairs and maintenance are performed accurately, safely, and punctually maintaining the shop's standards for quality workmanship.
Manage parts ordering, inventory oversight, and vendor relationships to reduce downtime and control expenses.
Track and report on shop performance metrics, including technician efficiency, productivity, and overall profitability.
Ensure full compliance with all relevant safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies at all times.
Communicate proactively with customers regarding repair status, estimates, and timelines, providing a professional and reliable service experience.
Review and approve repair orders, invoices, and related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Recruit, hire, train, and develop shop personnel in accordance with organizational needs and growth objectives.
Collaborate with senior management on budgets, operational forecasting, and capital equipment requirements.
