We are a busy, patient-focused medical practice seeking an experienced Optical Manager to oversee our optical department. This position is ideal for a motivated leader with a strong background in optical sales, customer service, and team management.
Responsibilities
● Manage the day-to-day operations of the optical department.
● Provide outstanding customer service and create a positive patient experience.
● Assist patients with frame selection, lens options, and eyewear recommendations.
● Drive optical sales while maintaining a patient-first approach.
● Manage inventory and frame displays.
● Implement strategies to increase sales and efficiency.
● Maintain compliance with office policies and industry standards.
Be versed in submitting optical orders of glasses and contact lenses to vision plans such as VSP, Eyemed, and Spectera.
- Engage regularly with the Doctor to touch base on business needs, associates and patient/customer experience
- Review optical invoices for accuracy.
Qualifications
● 2 years of optical management or supervisory experience preferred.
● Proven success in optical or retail sales.
● Knowledge of ophthalmic lenses, frames, lens enhancements, and vision insurance plans preferred.
● Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
● Professional, dependable, and customer-service oriented.
● Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and optical management software is a plus.
Pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour
