Job SummaryThe Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor manages the daily operations of both the Housekeeping and Laundry departments. You will lead a team of Aides to ensure the facility remains sanitary, odor-free, and orderly while managing linen inventory and supply procurement.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise Housekeeping and Laundry staff.
Operations Management: Develop work schedules and coordinate floor care, room changes, and laundry processing.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all activities meet Federal, State, and local healthcare regulations.
Inventory Control: Order cleaning and laundry supplies; maintain equipment in peak working condition.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms, common areas, and laundered items to ensure excellence.
Administrative: Assist the Director with payroll, time cards, and performance evaluations.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Previous supervisory or management experience in a healthcare or institutional setting (SNF/Long-Term Care preferred).
Technical Skills: Knowledge of institutional cleaning procedures, floor care (stripping/waxing), and commercial laundry equipment.
Communication: Ability to read, write, and speak English; strong interpersonal skills for interacting with residents and families.
Health: Ability to provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.
