Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately assemble trusses according to specifications.
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, assemble, and secure framing components with precision.
- Measure dimensional specifications using tape measures and other measuring devices to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Operate heavy equipment and machinery safely to assist with material handling and assembly processes.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining proper safety protocols to prevent injury.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to coordinate assembly schedules and meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety standards are followed during assembly operations.
Requirements
- Prior experience in metal building erection, framing, or related construction fields is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and understanding construction plans.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, drills, hammers, and measuring devices like tape measures.
- Knowledge of metal stud framing, rebar installation, masonry, siding, stucco, and drywall finishing is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations accurately.
- Experience operating power tools and heavy equipment safely on construction sites.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Construction site experience including remodeling or renovation projects is desirable.
- Valid understanding of safety procedures related to construction work environments.
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
