What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreational Gymnastics Coach position at Lone Star Gymnastics Academy?
Are you 16YO ? If so, we are currently looking to hire long term coaches. The right candidate will be social, optimistic, high energy, PATIENT, and have a passion for helping kids achieve their goals. We can train you to be a Gymnastics/Tumbling coach, but we cannot train you to be a good person with a great personality - this must come naturally to you.
The position is part-time with hours anywhere from 8-15 hours/wk Mon-Thursday from 4:15-7:30pm and either Friday or Saturday.
Positions include coaches for Co-Ed Preschool (ages 18mo-4YO), Girls Recreational Gymnastics (ages 5 ), and Co-Ed Tumbling (ages 5 )
Job Description:
- Lead and train students in all types of Gymnastics/Tumbling skills. No experience necessary as we will train the right person.
- Encourage students to reach their full potential
- Maintain a clean and organized gym environment
- Attend monthly meetings with all staff members & management team
- Work as part of a team with other staff members
- Participate in our team building events
Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years old or older
- Be able to handle a group of <8 kids on your own once trained (<6 for preschool)
- Have and maintain great leadership skills
- Must be able to comfortably lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must be able to work 4:15-7:30pm Mon-Thurs
- Must be willing to work at least 1 Friday evening (4:45-5:45 or 6:00-7:00) or Saturday morning from 9:00-10:00am
- Must be LOUD, outgoing, energetic, and responsible
