Duties
- Engage with customers to understand their financial needs and present tailored financing options that align with their goals.
- Manage the entire loan process, including credit analysis, TILA (Truth in Lending Act) compliance, and contract preparation to ensure smooth transactions.
- Build lasting customer relationships through exceptional service, upselling additional products or services that enhance their ownership experience.
- Negotiate terms with lenders and customers to secure favorable deals while maintaining compliance with all legal requirements.
- Process title work, handle loan documentation, and ensure accurate data entry using financial software and 10-key typing skills.
- Collaborate with sales teams to maximize deal profitability by identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling finance products.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of credit analysis, loan processing procedures, and dealership policies to uphold high standards of professionalism and compliance.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar financial services role within an automotive dealership or related setting.
- Strong background in customer relationship management, sales, and negotiation techniques that drive results.
- Familiarity with credit analysis, contract law (including TILA), and title processing procedures.
- Proficiency in financial software systems, basic math skills, and 10-key typing accuracy for efficient processing.
- Hands-on experience with automobile sales processes, deal structuring, and upselling strategies.
- Knowledge of dealership operations, including loan approval workflows and compliance standards related to finance products.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and transparently.
